Tallow Lip Balm

Beef tallow and beeswax. Two ingredients. Most lip balms are petroleum jelly with synthetic fragrance and a marketing budget. This is rendered beef fat and beeswax in a tube.

The tallow moisturises. The beeswax seals it in and gives the balm structure. It does not taste like anything, it does not smell like anything, and it keeps your lips from cracking through winter. Petroleum-based lip balms create a temporary seal but do not actually moisturise. That is why your lips feel dry again within an hour and you reapply constantly. Tallow delivers fatty acids that your lips can absorb, and the beeswax holds it in place so the effect lasts.
