This is the one to start with if you have never tried tallow on your skin and want to confirm it works for you before committing to 200ml. Also useful for travel, keeping at your desk, or stashing in a bag. Tallow is shelf-stable, so it does not need refrigeration. It will sit happily in a desk drawer or a carry-on for months. A pea-sized amount covers the full face, so 60ml lasts longer than you would expect.

The fatty acid profile of beef tallow is remarkably close to human sebum. That is why it absorbs cleanly instead of sitting on top of your skin the way petroleum-based products tend to. Most commercial moisturisers use water as a base and then need emulsifiers to hold the water and oil together, plus preservatives to stop the water from going off. Tallow needs none of that. It is just fat, and your skin knows what to do with it.
